On June 4, 2024, a meeting was held with the representatives of the regional center of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), who were visiting Azerbaijan.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the relevant structural units of the SEC, as well as the delegation led by Fazeela Gopalani, head of ACCA for Eurasia and the Middle East.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the necessary action plan for improving the content of professional accountant certification (PMS) exams and aligning them with ACCA qualifications, as well as digitizing the exam in the future.
At the same time, an agreement was reached on the training of local experts on the preparation of test tasks of the PMS exam by the specialists of the ACCA institution.
It should be noted that the State Examination Center and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) have launched an official collaboration based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 1 September 2021. Collaboration between the institutions covers the wide range of fields, including the study of learning and development opportunities in the field of professional competence, skills and technical knowledge, the implementation of joint activities and events to raise the awareness about and promote the ACCA qualifications and certificates, and the arrangement of joint programs to support the training and development of students for building successful career in the field of accounting and finance.
