On October 16, 2020, the 18th online meeting of the Public Administration Reform (PAR) Panel under the Platform on Democracy, Good Governance, and Stability of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Program was held.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the implementation and monitoring of Public Administration Reforms, one of the objectives of the "20 Deliverables for 2020", as well as to discuss the decision on "EaP Policy beyond 2020: Reinforcing Resilience – an Eastern Partnership that delivers for all". Representatives of EU member states and EaP countries also made proposals to define future goals for Public Administration Reforms.
The meeting was attended by the employees of the Strategic Development Department of the State Examination Center (SEC) Vali Huseyn, Parviz Kazimov, and Gunel Mammadova, as well as the representative of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations Nazrin Aliyeva.
During the meeting, the SEC representative Vali Huseyn provided information about the organization of exams in accordance with the requirements of the pandemic, conducting online interviews for civil service vacancies, as well as the activities of the SEC within the EU SIGMA, TAIEX cooperation tools along with the SEC-designed "ProctorDİM" software.
He also drew attention to the problems arising in the activities of Ganja, Barda, and Shamkir regional branches of the SEC as a result of large-scale provocations by the Armenian armed forces and firing settlements in the territory of Azerbaijan since 27 September 2020. Although the Armenian representative tried to interfere with that note, it was halted by other local participants and organizers. They stressed that such interventions should not be made and a more constructive position should be demonstrated.
The organizers praised the contribution of the Azerbaijani delegation to the event and thanked for the initiative to host the next EaP event.
