Pursuant to the cooperation agreement signed between the State Examination Center (SEC) and the British Council on April 10, 2026, the State Examination Center is now commencing operations as an official IELTS Registration Centre.
As a reminder, a registration centre serves as an official test venue designated by the British Council that complies with all relevant operational standards for administering IELTS exams. Under this partnership, the SEC will provide the appropriate infrastructure and test environment required for conducting IELTS examinations.
The first IELTS exam at the SEC will be held on November 19, 2026, at the Center’s Electronic Examination Building (50 S.S. Akhundov Street, Binagadi District, Baku).
Candidates wishing to sit for the exam may submit an initial application until November 14, 2026.

During the initial application, candidates are required to provide their first and last name, contact details, and essential exam-related information. Once the application is accepted, an account will be created for the candidate on the IELTS portal, and login access will be granted to complete the payment.
Note: Registration and payment for the IELTS exam are processed exclusively through the IELTS portal. The SEC serves solely as an official Registration Centre.
